PRODUCTION MANAGER | IPSWICH, SUFFOLK | £55,000 – £60,000pa

Are you an experienced and performance orientated Production Manager with the professional acumen and entrepreneurial flair to manage a manufacturing facility comprising 150 employees?

ABOUT THE COMPANY

As a Production Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing Manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient and sustainable production processes while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• People Management – Lead and develop a team of Shift Supervisors.
• Quality & Compliance – Drive a “right-first time” ethos and oversee audits & corrective actions working very closely with the Technical Team.
• Customer Service – Ensure customer service is always at a high standard and liaise with external stakeholders.
• Performance – Ensure production schedules are met in line with customer demands and planned efficiently and within budgets.
• Cost Optimisation – Identify & implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Health & Safety – Drive a zero-accident culture and ensure risk assessments & safety standards are always met.
• Continuous Improvement – Implement & Drive a continuous improvements culture within your team to drive change.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Strong background in manufacturing operations, with line management & performance management experience.

• Proficiency in process improvement, methodologies, Microsoft & Excel applications.
• Leadership: Passion for coaching, motivating, and developing a high-performing team.
• Communications: have 1st Class communications skills with external Stakeholders and the Internal senior management, Commercial, Engineering & Technical departments.
• Certifications: HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3, IOSH Managing Safety (desired).
